Killarney Summerfest, in partnership with Killarney Library and Kerry County Council Arts Office and Environment Department are delighted to offer two categories with a fantastic range of prizes to be won in this years competition. Don’t Rubbish It! Recycled Art Competition and Exhibition encourages artists, adults and groups to get creating masterpieces using everyday materials we would normally discard without a second thought.
We are very grateful to Killarney Town Council Arts Committee for sponsoring the prizes in this category and to all the businesses who kindly provided vouchers as prizes – please support them in turn.
The Official Launch and Prize Giving will take place on Thursday 22nd of July at 7pm in Killarney Library. All are welcome.

Killarney Art Holidays
present Plein Air Painting classes at The Lake Hotel, Killarney Monday, 26th July to Friday 30th July In other words, Outdoor Painting in the grounds of the Lake Hotel, with panoramic views of the lakes, mountains and National Park just beyond the hotel lawn.
There will be an option to move indoors at a moments notice depending on the weather, so we can continue to paint inside if need be. Classes will take the same format with small groups and step-by-step instruction with Tina Reed. There will be a full set of course notes given out, describing the techniques used during the course with reminders and tips on colour mixing, composition and brush/palette-knife methods.
